Honestly i just can't quite be bothered to blog about kuching.
cause there are all these pictures that need to be sorted out and rearranged, and everything's just one big fuzzzzz of blurness :/
so yeah, i'll sum up everything up in a relative short post. not even gonna do a super huge picture post :P

30 of us went to kuching, sarawak to participate as volunteers for habitat for humanity.
can go google if you dunno what the eff that is, cause google is the answer to almost everything :)
basically helped build a house (the foundation really) for a family. was there from the 21/6(sunday) - 27/6 (Saturday).

work was tough. (worked for about 3 and a half days -- monday, tuesday, friday and saturday)
reeeally tough. tried out measuring, sawing, hammering nails, tying wires ...etc. oh right, and what was probably the worst of all -- cement mixing D: -insert horrified gasp here-. there wasn't even machinery stuff so everything was done manually (more or less).
manual labour.
it was like experiencing life as a construction worker o__O
the worksite wasn't quite how i expected it to be.. but umm yea the work was gruellingggg .__. i'm not even exaggerating :P it was.. a good experience though ;] quite fun. even with the horrific cement mixing -.-

during the trip, there was also the sprite addiction ;]

we stayed at singgahsana lodge, a really really nice place :]
especially when compared to :

:|

stayed in the dorm with 9 other girls the first 3 nights, then stayed in the family room for 5 for the last 2 :)

breakfast area (notice the alien hats ;] UF-OOOOO )
:D

breakfast would consist of toast (butter+jam/sugarrrr)
on evenings (sunday, monday, tuesday, thursday, friday, saturday), we got to roam and explore around the area :]
there were actual malls too although some simply weren't too keen on going -insert glare here- :P

overpriced rip off chairs -.-
so so cute though x)
got houses too

souvenir shopping was funnnn though :D

tried out a couple of food places. some that weren't too great *coughjollygoodfoodcornercough*

Spent 2 days R&R :]
(Wednesday and Thursday)
got to see the fairy and wind caves, went jungle trekking, village tour, heard spooky stories, watched traditional dances, spent the night at the longhouse, went kayaking, saw orang utans...

there were all these really thin bamboo/whatever bridges :/

rice wine was nice ;]

the long house wasn't quite how i expected it to be.
it was more like.... regular houses joined together by the papan :/
(there were lots of cats.. but that's just irrelevant to my point)

pre-kayaking. kayaking was just as i expected it to be -- enjoyable but tiring at some points =.=
random camwhore moments in between places:

shaeny and her cinnamon bowl :P
it actually smells of cinnamon :]

all you need to survive :D

the second last day was maiki's birthday so we ... scribbled on a verrry meaningful piece of paper... or rather we made really meaningful scribbles on a random piece of paper :P

supper past curfew *shhhh*
:P
we were verrrry full after that x___x
gen had milkshake,
shaeny had maggie mee..
and i had both -.-

june birthday people got gifts :)

i beat gennnn :P
~~~~~~
even excluding her own-goal x)
haha yi tong said i got lucky but he's bias so everyone can just ignore that comment ;D
lulu was so proud that she got a bit of a tan, ehhh? ;]
okay so maybe i posted more than just a few pictures :/ nothing compared to the amount taken though :/ haha need to steal from shaeny once she posts them up on fcbk x)
picture credits : shaeny, gen, hui ern, apple, cheryl, janice ...
there were all these retarded moments but i'm not gonna list them out cause.. that needs too much effort and i'm being lazy -_-
i'd like it very much if someone would just take me to gurney/somewhere to get dvds *HINT HINT* :P okay, now back to watching 90210 online x)
