**NOTICE: Some photos of my trip to china during the previous holidays~ Not in order due t laziness =P14-25DEC
(suppose to be able to spot 2 dragons)

December 15th:arrived in the morning since we departed for Beijing the night before... The flight was about 6hours. Slept most of the time, as usual. The smell of airplane food was sickening..eeyuk! When we arrived i was supposedly -3celcius... probably got warmer. It was really cold but somehow... not reeeally cold..does that even make sense? probably cause of all those layers. After freshening up at the hotel, we went over to the Forbidden City... then the Summer Place. The summer palace was huge and lovely. (totally ideal for a taking photos =P) No time to go to the zoo to see pandas so just rushed to.. some..other place.. LOL Had sweet potato(my first meal the entire day n' it was already evening~) Took a few pictures.. saw a few furry cats...came back to the hotel... then dinner inside the hoel.. then to the silk market, which wasn't quite like I expected. It was more like a market within a departmental store. Had to bargain, got a few items...
December16th:It was "tour day".. got a tour guide to take us around. her name was xiao yu.. (totally reminded me of the main girl in SECRET.. that jay chou show) The breakfast lobby deco was like that of Rasa sayang and shangri-la(traders).. only.. probably better. Nice... plus we got good seats. Our first stop was the Forbidden City, again... except this time we really went inside and got more info... Took pictures of course ;) Outside, I got a set of keychains(Beijing 2008 Olympics Mascots)... Next stop was to see the Pandas. Uber cute!! *gush* There were 3 in separate glass cages. Not very big though =/ Supposedl not fully grown... there were lotsa panda stuff: Panda umbrellas(OMG!!), panda gloves(shouldn't have gotten that pair from KL),panda soft tys(got two),panda slippers(i actually wanted this), panda hats(for kids..couldn't fit =( ) etc... After that, we headed for lunch at some place that sold lotsa stuff (carpets like in the Silk Market, Jades, carved names on stone...etc) Then, it was time to see the GREAT WALL!! =] It was pretty tiring while climbing =/ Climbed up until no.2...Bought certs... Supposedly that's the usual according to Xiao Yu. Took much shorter than I expected. Bught some tidbits then it was time to head back. On the way, we saw The Water Cube (for smiling and water sport competitions) and the Bird's Nest...
Last night, went out to a supposedly famous Peking Duck Restaurant (T____T)
While waiting, we walked around the area... I *heart* big cities!! Even went into a Beijig 2008 Olympics store. After breakfast, walked about the hotel with dad and took some photos. Bought a panda backpack on the way... RMB 90 at first then she was saying RMB78.. in the end we walked away and she called us back =] Got it for RMB50...
Arrived in Shanghai after 2pm.. after a brief stop at the hotel, went out again.. walked to xin tian di.. lovely place. There was even starbucks and coffee bean!! some stalls too.. saw panda bags again, selling for RMB 80/60... supposedly fixed prices. One stall sold table, chairs, a dressing table...etc. Like the ones in stefeno. Was tempted to get them but then figured they were overpriced. I want a set!!.. and a merry go round! =] Bought a little purse and some tiny teddies for friends.
After dinner, we went over to the Bune
For the next few days we went to places like Hang zhou, su zhou... Xi Tang (where they filmed a small part of mission impossible3.. y'know the part where tom cruise(ethan) runs around shouting "shang kai" on his way to save his wife?_, i ran too, and the ridiculous part was... one of the stall owners actually knew what i was doing.. LOL...
Besides that there was... walking around the french concession... a wet market... a "antique"(flea) market.. from where i got a little golden pocket watch... etc etc

Then CHRISTMAS...
... and then there was the NEW YEAR'S EVE dinner
stayed at the gardens hotel

the stylistics performed at the ballroom... then watched fireworks on the roof

and then got changed to go over and watch the street performance on the.. well.. street..
slept at 5 30am.. zzz
