Fairy Tail ... フェアリーテイルA manga that I've been reading. Same manga-ka as (groove adventures)Rave レイヴ, otherwise known as rave master in the english versions, Hiro Mashima. It's pretty obvious considering how the characters look quite similar, especially the leads, Natsu,Lucy and Gray.

The Plot:
The story of Fairy Tail focuses on the adventures of the main characters Natsu and Lucy, who are sometimes accompanied by the members of the Fairy Tail Guild.
The story begins with a young sorceress Lucy, and her ambition to join the magical Fairy Tail Guild. On her journey she encounters Natsu, a young boy, who is looking for Igneel the Salamander. After a brief adventure she offers him lunch and Natsu explains that Igneel is a dragon while Lucy talks about her dreams to join the Fairy Tail Guild. Shortly afterwards, she is tricked and abducted by Bora of Prominence, who was posing as Salamander of Fairy Tail, to be sold as a slave. She is rescued by Natsu, who is revealed as Salamander and a true member of Fairy Tail Guild. He offers her membership into the guild, and Lucy gladly accepts. From that point on Natsu and Lucy form a team. Thus begins their adventures as they perform missions for the Fairy Tail guild.
In the current story arc Fairy Tail is under assault by another mage guild called Phantom which has been in contention with Fairy Tail as the top guild in the country for quite sometime. However, as it is illegal to wage war between guilds this stalemate has been unresolved until now. During the assault Natsu and a team from Fairy Tail invade the headquarters of the Phantom guild in an attempt to prevent them from unleashing a devastating ultimate attack. Natsu and comrades manage to defeat the elite Element 4 team of the Phantom guild thereby postponing the destruction of their own guild.
Unfortunately this is still not enough to prevent Fairy Tale from being razed to the ground. The loss of his home pushes Natsu to new levels of power, and he promptly destroys the Phantom guild, possibly leading to their victory.
In the Fairy Tail universe, some people are gifted with the ability to use magic and with this come powers far beyond those of normal people. This society of wizards and sorcerers align themselves to different Magical Guilds where they are assigned paid missions.
The guild system is governed by the Magic Council who monitor the actions of the guilds. Guilds which contravene the Magic Council's laws are declared as Dark Guilds. Dark guilds are those groups which have committed crimes against society or have accepted missions of questionable morality, such as accepting assassination requests.
In the Fairy Tail world the official currency is the Jewel (ジュエル Jueru) and its symbol is a "J".
So far, all of the action takes place in the land of Fiore. The land of Fiore is where the Fairy Tail Guild is located, as well as the Magic Council and other places visited by the main characters. The Time, as suggested in chapter 66, is Year 784.
Natsu, meaning summer in Japanese like how Haru means spring.

The whole issue where fairy tail guild said they weren't gonna hand over Lucy to phantom lord guild...resulting to a war... was just like how the townspeople didn't wanna hand over Elie to the enemies after the dancing competition... =/ talk about similar... haha

Besides, Grey's magic is somewhat similar to Musica's in the sense that their weapons(or in Grey's case...magic) change shapes... Plus there's the whole master deal... If Grey ends up falling for Urtear... it'll be MusicaxReina all over again -____________-"

Then there's how Sieglein is soooo like Sieghart... the sieg-ness!!!! @______@ plus, i'm pretty sure that the crest sign on their right eyes' the same..

.
Nevertheless, I like the storyline =] and the general conc ept.. it's like online games such as ro in a way because of all the guilds, ex-quip-ing, jobs....etc Like in Rave, there's a plue here too.. who belongs to Lucy.. it's role isn't as main as it was in rave tho'...I actually.. kinda miss rave ='( Anxiously waiting for a new volume each time i visit the comic store in prangin mall....
More chapters of Shinshi Doumei Cross are out!^________________^
ahhh so twisted!! the whole father...foster father...real father...actual father..mother...high school love..thingeh
Let's start with the PLOT:
This story is about Haine Otomiya, a 15-year-old high school girl student at the elite private Imperial Academy (帝国学園 Teikoku Gakuen). Apparently sold to foster parents for fifty million yen, and a one-time gang member, Haine reformed when she met Shizumasa Tōgū, who told her to live life how she wanted to. She fell in love with Shizumasa and entered the Imperial Academy to try and win his love.
Now, Shizumasa is the Koutei (皇帝, Kōtei, lit. emperor) of the school. Being the president of the student council and the only member of the gold class, he is the one who everyone looks up to. Through various circumstances Haine is tricked by one of the student council members into becoming his bodyguard and joining the student council. However, Shizumasa claims not to know her and is unexpectedly cold towards her.Last few chapters--->
Turns out Haine's foster father is really her biological father.. He and her mom were high school sweethearts, her father at that time was the president. Then this other guy(the man whom she believed was her father up until she discovered the truth) challenged her foster-real-father because he himself was in love with her mother, Maika. As a result, he became the new president and created the "platinum" position, a rank above silver altho' below his own. Maika(naturally) was chosen to be the "platinum"(also the position which haine currently holds). Nevertheless, she was still very much in love with the former president. However, due to the fact that the current presidents family is very influential n' whatnot, she was forced to marry him. The child whom she pretended was his(Haine) really was not. As Haine grew older, her "father" realised the truth. (the similarities..blah blah..) Which is why he "sold" her to her real father. In the end of that arc, of course everyone's happy.
I think.. I support Takanari-sama... I have been supporting him 90% of the time anyway.,.. the other 10%being neutral. The only disappointment is probably how he didn't rush in to help Haine when Shizumasa just held the knife(Haine's) although he was getting hurt.
